We are still having issues with students being picked up in the faculty parking lot. DO NOT PICK UP/DROP OFF STUDENT IN THE HTLA FACULTY PARKING LOT AT ANYTIME! Remember to drive carefully! Students are present!
Polo shirts are back in stalk. We received our shipment of polo shirts. If you are interested in buying any, come to the main office. Polo shirts are $20. HTLA hoodies are $25.

Tutoring
Teacher tutoring has started! Each teacher offers one hour of tutoring weekly.
Absent/tardy
All students who are tardy need to come through the main office to receive a tardy note.
If your student is tardy or absent from class please send a note stating the dates of the absence and the general reason for the absence. After 3 days, an uncleared absence becomes a truancy. Students with truancies will be assigned Saturday detention. All absence notes can be sent either via email at [email protected] or the student may bring a physical copy to the main office. Please call 818-609-2687 with any questions you may have.
If your child is out sick and has a COVID symptom we are asking families to go get a COVID test completed before they can return to school. We want to keep everyone on campus as safe as possible. Thank you for your cooperation.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Achieving a high vaccination rate at HTLA is the first and best way to lower the risk of infection and transmission at our school, greatly decrease the risk of severe illness, hospitalization and death in those who are fully vaccinated.

Dress Code
We have had some dress code issues. Below is a reminder of our dress code.
HTLA Uniform:
- Long khaki color or black pants/slacks (any brand)
- Khaki color or black skirt or shorts that are mid-thigh or longer length
- Closed toe shoes (i.e., no flip flops or open-toed sandals)
- Long or short sleeve solid navy blue, light blue, white, or black collared polo shirts. The polo shirt may have a small logo (e.g. alligator) but no other writing.
- Students may wear a solid color white, navy blue, light blue, brown, or black knit sweater or jacket without a hood.
- Students may wear HTLA hoodies. No other hoodies will be allowed.
- Hats and/or bandanas are not allowed to be worn inside the school.
