I think it was a college prep school this is cool design for everybody to prepare them for college and whatever comes after college for them our goal is to make sure that everybody has as many options as they possibly can after they finish high school we try to make sure that students have an opportunity to learn by doing we try to get them as Hands-On as they possibly can we feel that that engages the brain at a different level and prepares them better for both college and for a career we think that it's really important in this environment to make sure that every single teenager in Los Angeles every single teenager in Los Angeles has a place that they can go to feel at home that's what we're trying to do it I think that way we don't learn a bunch of facts and read textbooks and then do some sort of culminating project at the end Project based learning is using a project as the curriculum to learn real-world skills about real-world problems and come up with us and take student-driven solutions to them if I had one word to describe high-tech La it would be caring and that is proven every single day by the teachers staff another students that are involved in my child's life the support that she gets here from everyone is incredible I would definitely say that has a lot of different options and programs for students get involved in we have a lot of great resources for students who really like science and technology but we also have things like drama we have things like I'm we have students run away which is athletic we have lots of different organizations for seem to get involved with and soon as often even start their own clubs so there's definitely something here for all types of depressants
